CLERGY:
Our Rector is the Rev. Mary-Pat Ashby who began her time with us in March, 2003. She is a graduate of The American University in Washington, DC, and a 1992 graduate of the Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, VA. Prior to coming to New Market, Mary-Pat spent 8 years serving the diocese as a member of the Diocesan Staff in Baltimore where she was responsible for clergy deployment and support, and congregational support.  She and her husband John, a retired history professor from the Community Colleges of Baltimore County, Catonsville campus, and their dog Cassie live in Mount Airy.  John And Mary-Pat have 2 grown children and two grandchildren.

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Lynda Olson joined our staff in August, 2007 and is responsible for seeing to it that all the necessary support services are done.  Her responsibilities include weekly worship bulletins, monthly newsletters, maintaining the parish database, taking minutes at Vestry meetings, correspondence, financial record tracking, phone and e-mail contact with members and a myriad of other little things that fall into her lap. Lynda is married to Patrick, a professional firefighter and together they have 2 children in high school.

MUSICIAN
Our organist/musician is Julie Thomas who joined us just before Easter in 2007. Julie’s gentle touch on the keyboard and her interest in helping us learn some new music continue to push us to stretch our repertory.  Julie is a resident of Sykesville and has several grown children.
